Andrea Ostrovsky practices primarily in the areas of criminal defense and complex commercial and civil litigation.  Before joining Yarmuth Wilsdon Calfo, she clerked for the Honorable Marsha J. Pechman, United States District Court, Western District of Washington.  She has experience defending government investigations and criminal prosecutions of various types, including mail and wire fraud, RICO, securities and tax fraud, theft, and sexual assault.  She also has experience handling complex civil matters for both plaintiffs and defendants, including cases involving allegations of civil fraud, securities violations, breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation, harassment, and wrongful death.

In September 2011, Andrea successfully completed a five-day jury trial as a King County Special Deputy Prosecuting Attorney.

Other recent clients and matters include:

  • CEO of Idaho company in securities litigation and related federal criminal investigation, including week-long arbitration hearing
  • Owner of local business prosecuted for racketeering, fraud, and money laundering
  • Individual prosecuted through trial for wire and insurance fraud related to appropriation of government property
  • Celebrity in grand jury investigation into allegations of kidnapping and fraud, and in related civil personal injury lawsuit
  • Washington-based manufacturer in contract and trade secret dispute
  • Individual accused of embezzling significant funds from employer

Andrea is co-chair of the group Friends of Cheasty Greenspace at Mountainview.  She is a member of the William L. Dwyer Inn of Court and volunteers regularly at the King County Bar Association’s Downtown Legal Clinic.
