Dan Weiskopf practices primarily in complex commercial litigation. He has represented individuals, financial institutions, and Fortune 500 companies in a wide range of matters, including civil litigations, appeals, employment-related disputes, and regulatory inquiries. Before joining Yarmuth Wilsdon Calfo, Dan was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York. His recent matters have included:

  • Defense of a hedge fund in a compensation dispute with a former managing director. 
  • Defense of a pharmaceutical company against an employee’s False Claims Act whistleblower suit. 
  • Representation of a financial institution in a suit relating to the breach of a complex sale-leaseback of a power plant. 
  • Defense of a hedge fund against breach of contract claims brought by its former parent. 
  • Representation of a CEO in a compensation dispute with his former employer.
  • Defense of a financial institution against an investor class action related to the institution’s investments in a Ponzi scheme. 

In addition, Dan has performed extensive pro bono work, representing indigent clients in civil disputes, administrative proceedings, and criminal matters.

During law school, Dan served as a judicial extern for the Honorable David F. Hamilton in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
