Lyle Tenpenny specializes in white collar criminal matters and civil litigation in federal courts. He defends clients in grand jury investigations and criminal prosecutions involving allegations of securities, health care, and tax fraud, and environmental crimes, among others. Lyle also assists businesses and individuals in responding to government investigations and assists clients in conducting corporate internal investigations.

Lyle has experience handling complex civil and commercial litigation matters, including those involving allegations of civil fraud, breach of contract, trademark and copyright infringement, and business torts.

Lyle’s recent clients and matters have included:

  • Seattle-area pharmacy owner charged with health care fraud related to Medicaid billing.
  • Individual charged with wire and insurance fraud related to appropriation of government property.
  • Seattle-area seafood company in federal grand jury investigation alleging Lacey Act violations.
  • Construction company as a plaintiff in a suit to enforce a non-compete agreement and to seek damages from its breach and from theft of trade secrets.
  • Online jeweler in copyright Lanham Act and breach of contract claims relating to competitors in on-line jewelry business.
  • Grand jury witnesses in federal investigation alleging Clean Air Act violations by a Tennessee-based metal processing company.
