Tamara's practice concentrates on complex environmental and commercial litigation, as well as white-collar criminal defense.
Tamara began her law practice in 1988 at Perkins Coie defending cases, including class actions, arising out of complex products liability claims and aviation disasters. In 1990, Tamara joined the Seattle office of Heller, Ehrman, White and McAuliffe where she represented clients in multi-party environmental insurance coverage, anti-trust, medical malpractice, and a variety of complex commercial disputes. While at Heller Ehrman, Tamara also served as a Special Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s office where she tried felony drug cases. Tamara joined Yarmuth Wilsdon Calfo in June 2002.
Tamara graduated with high honors from the University of Washington School of Law in 1987. During law school, Tamara served as Executive Notes and Comments Editor of the University of Washington Law Review, was elected to the Order of the Coif, and also served as extern to the Honorable Betty B. Fletcher of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Following law school, Tamara served as law clerk to the Honorable Jerome Farris of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Tamara received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service, where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Tamara lives aboard a classic wooden boat on Lake Union with her husband and two sons, and volunteers in a variety of ways in the Seattle Public Schools.
