Jordan practices civil and commercial litigation, with particular expertise in appellate matters and federal motions practice. Jordan’s experience includes litigation and appeals in the areas of employment, securities, criminal, constitutional, and business law. She also assists individuals and businesses in responding to grand jury, criminal, and civil government investigations involving financial and health care fraud, False Claims Act (whistleblower) allegations, and environmental offenses.
Jordan joined Yarmuth Wilsdon Calfo in 1999. Before joining the firm, she was a judicial clerk to United States District Court Judge Barbara Jacobs Rothstein and to Washington State Court of Appeals Judge Susan R. Agid.
Jordan graduated cum laude from Howard University School of Law in 1993, where she was a member of the Howard Law Journal. She received a B.A. in English Literature and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington.
Jordan regularly serves as appointed counsel on appeal to indigent clients convicted of federal criminal offenses. Jordan was raised in Latin America and speaks Spanish. Jordan has volunteered extensively with immigrant communities and she frequently speaks to community groups about civil liberties and civil rights issues.
